The total number of rhinoplasties in UK over one year (1st July 2022 to 30th June 2023) is 4145 according to Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) which looks at hospital episodes statistics.

The number of cosmetic procedures in a UK National Audit published by BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) reveals a 102% rise in procedures in 2022. Rhinoplasty has seen a 72% increase, and it is now the most popular cosmetic procedure in men.

The Audit in 2019 which shows pre pandemic numbers showed rhinoplasty to be in the top 5 cosmetic surgical procedures for men and women and the top one for men.

A multicenter study by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery looked at data from 33 countries. Their descriptive analysis included data from one hundred and fifteen surgeons on a total of 41,259 rhinoplasties performed over a period of three years.

The Exact Numbers of Women Having the Surgery Versus Male Patients

According to last recorded US statistics for the year 2023; female rhinoplasty accounted for 82% and male for 18%. In the UK, 1832 women had rhinoplasty surgery versus 388 men according to the BAAPS data of 2022. In that year, 17.4% of rhinoplasties were on male patients.
