What Our Patients Say
Frequently Asked Questions
What Is Septorhinoplasty?
Septorhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that combines rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) with a septoplasty (straightening of the nasal septum). The primary goal is to improve the nose’s appearance and function by correcting structural issues, such as a deviated septum, that can cause breathing difficulties.
How Long Is the Recovery Time After a Septorhinoplasty?
Recovery time can vary, but patients typically experience the majority of swelling and bruising in the first two weeks. By the end of the fourth week, most normal activities can be resumed. Complete healing and final results may take up to a year to fully manifest as the nose settles into its new shape.
Will Insurance Cover My Septorhinoplasty Procedure?
Unfortunately, we do not work with health insurance companies when surgery involves external/ aesthetic changes to the appearance of the nose.
Are There Risks Involved in Septorhinoplasty?
As with any surgery, there are risks, which may include infection, bleeding, scarring, or anesthesia complications. Nasal-septal perforation, persistent nose shape irregularities, or a need for revision surgery may also occur. A detailed discussion with your surgeon will help you understand all potential risks.
Can I See What My Nose Might Look like After Septorhinoplasty?
Many surgeons use imaging software to model potential outcomes during the consultation phase. While this can provide a visual expectation, it’s important to note that these images are not a guarantee of the final result due to the individual nature of healing and surgical outcomes.
