Lydia Badia
Lydia Badia, is a Consultant Surgeon in Facial Plastics. She is a member of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and an active member of The Rhinoplasty Society of Europe. As part of this academic work Lydia regularly lectures at national and international conferences and she has both published papers in her field of expertise and written chapters for text book.Lydia was born in Spain but has lived and practised in London since 1990. She is one of the most respected specialist rhinoplasty and facial surgeons in the UK. She qualified at Barcelona Medical School and then received her higher surgical training in the North London Teaching Hospitals which included Charing Cross Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital. She passed the Intercollegiate Board Exam by all four Royal Colleges in 1999. She is accredited by the Specialist Advisory Committee in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and has been awarded her certificate of completion of specialist training by the Specialist Training Authority of the Medical Royal Colleges.
Lydia was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon in the NHS in 2001 at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, the National Postgraduate Teaching Hospital in the UK..As an expert in the rhinoplasty and facial surgery fields Lydia has frequently contributed to conferences all over the world. She has also undertaken work reviewing and casting her expert eye over scientific papers before publication and she takes on medico-legal work as an expert for septorhinoplasty surgery.

Lydia takes a friendly and honest approach with her patients and enjoys getting to know them on the inside before she helps them improve the way they look on the outside. Many patients appreciate her warm, down-to-earth approach to their care.
“What I love most about my job is it allows me to help make people feel better about their health and feel better about themselves. I like to spend time talking through all the options with everyone who comes to see me and once we decide on the best treatment option, it’s a process that we go through together. I’m still in touch with lots of the people I’ve treated, because to me they are people first and patients second.”
Lydia resigned from the National Health Service in November 2012 to dedicate her time exclusively to private practice.
